Experience Barcelona

Every trip to Barcelona should begin with a stroll along Las Ramblas, the city’s main thoroughfare. This tourist promenade, lined with terraces, flower stalls and street performers, connects the Plaza de Catalunya with the old port.

The views of the city from Montjuïc and Tibidabo are breathtaking, and the picturesque Poble Espanyol, with its microcosm of artisans and unique alleyways, is not to be missed.

One of the main reasons to visit Barcelona is for its many monuments, such as the Sagrada Familia. The intense colours, sculptural facades and atmospheric spaces created by Gaudí give Barcelona a fascinating personality. A visit to his house museum is highly recommended to understand the artist’s work in its entirety.

Another of the must-see places in Barcelona is the Gothic Quarter. Getting lost in its streets and visiting the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, the Plaza del Rei and the Church of Pi is one of the greatest charms. There is also Passeig de Gracia, home to some of the most famous modernist buildings, such as Casa Milà  and Casa Lleó Morera.

There is never a shortage of things to do in Barcelona. The city has beaches just ten minutes from the centre and a wide range of leisure and nightlife options. Some of the city’s most popular tourist attractions are the famous Camp Nou football stadium and the Palau de la Música, where you can cheer on your favourite team or listen to one of the many concerts on offer.

Last but not least, Barcelona is a city that delights the senses, with typical dishes such as bread with tomato, coca and crema catalana.
