On the other hand, in the marshes of Doñana National Park you can discover a biodiversity which is unique in the whole of Europe as well as observe endangered wildlife such as the Iberian lynx or the Spanish imperial eagle.

In Doñana you can also see one of the most popular religious festivals in Spain, known as El Rocío. This pilgrimage to the sanctuary of Blanca Paloma congregates 117 brotherhoods and over a million people, who celebrate with devotion and song the so-called salto de la reja (the fence jump), which is the starting point of the procession with the patron saint. Added to this are other festivities such as Holy Week or the Columbine Festival, which commemorate the departure of Columbus’ expedition to the New World.
